Our hawks flew across the pond and spent winter break in Lisbon and Portugal with Dr. Shelton! They explored cities along the coast and tried the local bites! Studying International Tourism allowed our students to gain real-world experience and knowledge to apply in their professional careers. This three-week course allowed students to build on their knowledge outside the classroom and visit over 6 cities while doing so! They studied how tourism affects a city's location and

Earlier in the month, A group of Roger Williams University students traveled to the PR capital of the world New York City to tour various firms and companies. Students got to the city early and headed to their locations to listen to professionals in a large market talk about their day to day routine and how they ended up where they are today. One of the spots on our list was NASDAQ, Americas second largest stock exhange, with its building located in the heart of times square.
