PR Firm

Our very own RWU PRSSA PR Firm is coming soon! Stay tuned for details!

CW CAMPAIGN

RWU PRSSA decided to compete once again in the CW Campaign for the television show Vampire Diaries.  Four students were chosen to participate: Samantha Hamilton (SR), MaryKate Burns (SR),Rachel Lawton (SR), and Jessica Saladamarco. This was an outstanding opportunity for these members to build their portfolio and to get national recognition for RWU PRSSA!

The CW asked students to build awareness among college students for one of television’s hottest shows, The Vampire Diaries, by implementing a public relations campaign on campus. Click on the link to see the entry.  We will let you know how the team fared after the winners are announced in Washington D.C in Mid October.

Solo Campaign

Four dedicated RWU PRSSA members will be competing against other universities in the U.S with PR programs  to develop a PR plan for Solo. The competition seeks to promote recycling, composting and other sustainable practices, as well as understanding and use of  green single-use foodservice products at Roger Williams. The campaign slogan is  "Go Bare® on Campus." The prize for the winning team is $1,000, while two runners-up will each receive $500 for their Chapters.

The Solo team is made up of Rachel Lawton (SR), Brittany Vail (SR), Beth Manville (JR), and Tessa Rickart (SR).  RWU PRSSA has an excellent track record in placing in PR contests. In 2009 they placed third in the nation in the prestigious Bateman Case study competition, and placed honorable mention in 2008,and 2007. In 2009, they also placed third for a campaign they undertook for the CW television Station.
